About Me

Hi, my name is Emily and I live in Cheshire in the North West of England. I grew up on a farm with a big garden and my mum could always be found in the veg plot or in the borders carefully tending to them. I was never really into gardening when I was young – just picking the flowers, fruit and veg!

Whilst in college and University I had a part time job at my local garden centre, where I started to pick up how to care for plants and what they like.

My passion for gardening however only really started when I became the owner of a garden along with my partner when we moved into our rented property. The previous tenants hadn’t really been the gardening type so it was a nearly blank canvas. My partner and I soon set to work making the garden our own and experimenting with what flowers and vegetables worked and didn’t.

The garden worked perfectly alongside my other favourite hobby which is cooking. I was able to grown, pick and cook homegrown produce and the flavours were amazing. Due to this I am on a mission to grown a bumper crop of veg and flowers, which I can turn in to delicious recipes or gorgeous flower arrangements and share them with you through my blog.
